Bingsu in Kopitiam?!! Cheapest price of $5.90 for an authentic Korean Shaved Ice!

Korean dessert Bingsu has hit the town! It’s shaved ice dessert that many called it the Korean ice kachang, the difference between ice kachang and Bingsu is bingsu has its ice shaved so finely that we were not exaggerating when we say it really melts in your mouth. Most of the Singaporeans were spotted having Bingsu at a stylish cafe, or in a restaurant. Now you can satisfy your Bingsu cravings in Kopitiam!

When we were having dinner in Kopitiam, I saw something surprising, Bingsu and I thought to myself it must be like ice kachang just that they will arrange the item like Korean Bingsu at $5.90. To cure my curiosity, I went to buy it.

The Bingsu at Gangnam Bingsu comes much more affordable than any other places, where could you get Bingsu priced at $5.90?!

$5.90 is the portion that is almost the size of a usual Bingsu and a large portion $7.90 that's filled to the fullest! It really tastes like any other Bingsu, milk ice was finely shaved and a flavor that's getting more with every scoop.

Right here this is the Oreo Banana Bingsu, covered with banana pieces, 1 and a half piece of Oreo, whipped cream, a scoop of milk ice cream and sprinkled with all the oreo biscuit bits covered the shaved ice.

This is the mango Bingsu, covered with Mango, cranberries, whipped cream and a scoop of milk ice cream, this is for the price of $7.90, the mango is not too sweet, mixed with the ice is not very overwhelming with the mango syrup sweetness.

Overall it has to be one of the most affordable Bingsu options out there that you don't have to sacrifice too much on quality for the sheer cheapness in terms of price.

HutanBandar Bistro - Chicken Chop at 5RM, Beef Steak at 14RM? Cheapest in Johor!

Craving for a chicken chop but want to avoid a big hole in your pocket and wallet? You can head to the cheapest chicken chop stall in town. Yeah, here it is, very near to the custom at HutanBandar Johor Bahru. It is of little be remote if you are not too familiar with the area, but you will definitely discover it at night because when the whole road is in dark, this is the only place with brightness and crowd!

The dining atmosphere and environment were very simple with no fancy decoration, a normal and typical food stall.

It only open at night and usually it will be full-house and sometimes I need to wait for getting my turn to take a seat and order. this shop was operated in open area previously, now they have renovated and now it's indoor in hutanbandar which means u can eat even if it's raining.

HutanBandar Bistro is one place that is swarming with people in the middle of the night. The later it gets, the more crowd it will be, I was there at about 11 PM and it was really crowded.

Chicken chop 5RM, lamb chop 13.50RM. and you could see mainly the price that is keeping this places crowded all the time.

There a room for your sauce, there is only 2 available sauce, chili sauce, and black pepper sauce, so after you got your order, you can proceed to the sauce room.

Few pieces of fried chicken with crinkle cut fries and coleslaw are also provided on the side. All these for RM8? It's a steal, to say the least, no matter the taste. You could choose mash potato over the fries at price of 5RM.

The chicken chop is accompanied by coleslaw and fries. The taste is quite not bad, the texture is very normal. I do think it will be better if they can reduce the taste of the black pepper sauce which is overwhelming with sourness which I believed they put too much sour plum into it.

The beef steak really comes with generous portion, all these for 14 RM!

One of the bad things of eating beef steak here is you need a very good teeth, the beef was hard to bite as they were cooked very well done, but taste wise was really nice. So be warned, your jaws will get tired after you finished the whole beef steak.

Because of the cheap price, I overestimated the capacity of my stomach, and subsequently spoil my diet plan. This is the place I will re-visit indeed for food at a reasonable and affordable price.

Settled down for this Chee Cheong Fun for breakfast, the texture is smooth unlike most of the Chee Cheong Fun that will stick to you when you bite it, and the black sweet sauce with sesame seeds did enhance the whole experience of having this Chee Cheong Fun! So if you saw my previous post on Kuala Lumpur Chee Cheong Fun, this is very similar to it but I would say the sauce and texture still a bit lesser than the KL's version.

Kim Keat Palm Market does have lots of food around, so do come and enjoy their delicious dishes at a very affordable price!

Will I return? Of course! It's a replacement for my usual KL Chee Cheong Fun bite!
